Dr. Diana Loreta Păun (born 1968) graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy. She holds a PhD in Medicine from the same university. She is an endocrinologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Endocrinology at "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
She has been working at the "C. I. Parhon" National Institute of Endocrinology as a physician, researcher, professor and as manager between 2006-2015.
She holds a certificate in complementary studies in Healthcare Management and a master’s degree in "Management of Public Health and Medical Services". Also, she attended several training programs in management, quality auditor, trainer and expert in public procurement.
Dr. Diana Loreta Păun is a member of national professional associations (The Romanian Association of Clinical Endocrinology, The Romanian Society of Endocrinology) and of international professional associations (The German Society of Endocrinology, The European Society of Endocrinology (ESE). She is also a member of the Romanian Chapter of the AACE (American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists) and its president between 2011-2012 and 2017-2019.
She has published studies and scientific papers in nationally and internationally recognized journals, as well as works on health management.
She has been involved, as a manager or team member, in national and international research projects and in education and life-long learning programs.
Dr. Diana Loreta Păun was appointed State Adviser on 1 June 2015 and on 23 December 2019 she was appointed Presidential Adviser.

Doctor Nelu TĂTARU is a Romanian surgeon and politician, member of the National Liberal Party.
He was born in Vaslui, on 1972 September 30th and studied Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Grigore T. Popa" in Iasi.
In the 2012-2016 legislature he was elected senator and in the 2020-2024 legislature he was elected deputy.
He held in the Cabinet of Ludovic ORBAN (2019 - 2020) the positions of Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health and the Minister of Health.
Currently, Doctor Nelu TĂTARU is the Chairman of the Committee for Health and Family in the Chamber of Deputies.

Katie is a founder of Youth Cancer Europe, an advocacy network for young people with cancer shaping European policy. She is a member of the EORTC Group of Patient Experts and the Patient Advisory Committee of the European Cancer Organisation. Since 2016 she is a member of the Children’s Medicines Working Party of The European Forum for Good Clinical Practice. For two terms she served on the Board of Directors of PanCare, a multidisciplinary pan-European network for the study of late effects of childhood cancer therapy. In 2002 she set up the Little People Children’s Cancer Charity in Romania that provides daily psychosocial support services for Romanian childhood cancer patients in the clinical setting and peer-support to young people in after-care through online & residential programmes.

Thanos Kosmidis is cofounder and CEO of CareAcross, a digital health company focusing on cancer. CareAcross is a member of All.Can International, a multi-stakeholder not-for-profit organisation working to improve the efficiency of cancer care by focusing on what matters to patients.
Thanos’ background spans technical expertise as well as commercial and strategic experience in large organisations, leading to his entrepreneurial journey in healthcare with CareAcross. His role there includes shaping the evolution of personalised services to cancer patients, and the company’s partnerships with industry, researchers, academia and non-profit organisations, including All.Can.
Beyond the contributions to several digital health and entrepreneurship communities, he has been supporting several European Commission initiatives to enhance healthcare in cancer and beyond.

Mike Morrissey joined the European Cancer Organisation as Chief Executive in the summer of 2019,
having previously worked at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) as their Chief Operating
Officer. He is also President of the European Society of Association Executives (ESAE), having been
elected to the position in June 2021.
Mike has a respected track record in leading and re-energising international not-for-profit
organisations in the health and other sectors. He has served in various leadership roles and brings
with him over 20 years of experience in association management. Mike is recognised for developing
and managing global collaborations, as well as for supporting strategic leadership and operational
implementation.
Prior to joining the ESC in 2016, Mike was Executive Vice President & Chief Global Officer at the
International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) and Managing Director of the International
Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA). Mike’s early career was as one of the leading
tennis officials in the world when he worked for the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and
umpired many finals at Grand Slam and Davis Cup events.
Mike is a British and Irish citizen and in 2019, set up his own management company ‘Morrissey
Global Management’ based in Cannes, to provide his services as CEO of the European Cancer
Organisation, as well as to advise and support other international organisations.

Ioana Stoenescu is a Veterinarian by training and holds a Master in International Management and Marketing. She is a graduate of a Commercial Tradecraft Course in Foreign Service Institute, Washington DC, USA.
Ioana has more than 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where she held various marketing, commercial and management roles, with increasing responsibility in business development and public affairs, across various departments in Pharmaceuticals divisions of Roche Group and Eli Lilly & Co.
Ioana has been coordinating the government affairs activities of Roche Romania as Government Affairs Manager since 2017, when she joined the Market Access and Government Affairs Department. In 2021, she also held an additional position of Access Innovation Leader in Roche Pharma International being accountable for above countries brands access support, developing & driving innovation. Since 2021, Ioana holds two roles within the Romanian affiliate, being the External Affairs Owner as well as coordinating a Personalized Healthcare Squad with marketing and commercial responsibilities towards implementing Roche’s vision of personalized healthcare that allows patients to live better and longer lives. As External Affairs Lead, she works closely with the industry associations and other industries partners from both public and private sector to facilitate patients’ access to the latest medical innovation. She currently coordinates various working groups and task forces in the pharmaceutical industry associations such as Local American Working Group, Swiss Chamber of Commerce, American Chamber of Commerce and Romanian Association of International Medicines Producers.
Prior to her position at Roche, she held several positions within the United States public administration, and spent more than 10 years in the United States Embassy in Bucharest in several positions. In 2018, Ioana was selected as an Independent Expert of the Business-to-Government Expert Group within EU Commission, DG Connect.

After graduating from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila”, Bucharest, Romania, Dr. Ghiaur continued his graduate studies at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and obtained his PhD in Molecular and Developmental Biology from University of Cincinnati. He completed his post graduate studies in hematology at Johns Hopkins University and is currently a Faculty member of the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. As such, Professor Ghiaur divides his time between seeing patients with acute leukemia, leading the Education Committee in the Cancer Center and managing his NIH funded research laboratory. Since 2015, Professor Ghiaur has been actively involved in the academic environment from Romania. He focused his efforts on creating functional collaborations between clinical and academic centers of excellence from Romania and colleagues from Johns Hopkins University. As a physician-scientist his primary interest is normal and malignant hematopoiesis, especially the role of the microenvironment in cell extrinsic drug resistance and persistence of minimal residual disease. He has distinguished himself as an outstanding laboratory-based investigator and a superior clinician. His research has translational potential in stem cell therapeutics, as well as acute leukemia and multiple myeloma.
